I tried to build my schedule around works or stories that I was unfamiliar with, with two exceptions. For Weeks 3, I am already familiar with Ovid's classic text but I've never actually read it. And Week's 5 tales are partially familiar to me already. The rest of the selections I made, however, are totally unknown to me. I'm especially interested to read about the Native American stories I selected. Growing up in Oklahoma, I've had close proximity to a lot of Native culture, but I've never learned much about any specific stories or legends. I think it will be interesting to read all of these stories and expand my knowledge and perspectives.
